Process file to load data

The Process file option in the Vault allows you to upload data from files into Spend Dynamics.

Data files go through a three-step process:

• selecting the interface type
• validating file
• completing processing

To upload data from a data file:

1. Upload data file to the Vault. Use this procedure Upload file to the Vault to upload.
2. Select the data file you want to process.

   The Process file option is displayed.

3. Select the option to open the Processing file panel.
4. Depending upon the data type of the file, select the applicable interface type from the Interface type drop-down list.
5. Click the Validate button to go to the next step.
6. Once the file is validated, Validation results display a list of success messages or errors.

   If the file's validation results include critical errors then the Complete button is disabled and you are prompted to start from step 1, which is selecting interface type.

7. Click the Preview button to open a secondary panel wherein you can view 100 rows of data from your file and ensure if the syntax or the data of the file is correct or not.
8. Click the Complete button to initiate the last step of the file processing.
9. Once the file processing is complete, you get a confirmation message on screen.

   If you have missed some data, you can process the file again via the Reprocess button.
