Edit/delete company unit
To edit/delete a company unit in the company unit hierarchy:
- From the main menu, select Administration > Instance Management > Module - Company Unit.
The Module - Company Unit screen appears.
- Click the company unit.
An editing dialogue box for the company unit appears.
- If you want to:
- rename the company unit, click the Edit link and when the edit dialogue box appears, type the new name. The name cannot contain quotes, double quotes or any other special characters. Note: The Edit link only appears if you have been granted the Admin - Edit Company Unit Name administrator access right. Any online name changes must also be reflected in your company CU interface file to avoid your online changes being overwritten on file upload.
- re-assign the company unit to another parent, select the parent unit from the drop-down list.
- position the company unit at the top of the hierarchy, select the option [No Parent].
- Click Save.
- To delete the company unit, click Delete.
Auto deletion of company units
The solution checks company units on a daily basis and automatically deletes those without any of the following:
- child company units
- assigned employees
- assigned managers
- assigned default coding rules
- assigned tax codes
- assigned receipt rules, and
- associated spend wizards.
