Interface files
Interface files are used with Spend Dynamics to create and update certain data and information. There are a number of different interface files, each with a specific purpose. These files can be maintained and managed by the administrator.
- Cash Balance (CB). This file enables you to take summary extracts from external payroll or payment solutions and feed payment advice notices into the solution to enable the adjustment of employee cash balances.
- Card Mapping (CM). This file enables you to maintain the mapping relationships between employees in Spend Dynamics and the account details received from card providers.
- Charge Code (CC). This file enables you to create and maintain a list of your company's financial codes.
- Expense Template (CTM). This file enables you to create expense templates within Spend Dynamics.
- Company Unit (CU). This file enables you to create and maintain the company units within Spend Dynamics.
- Customer Translation (CT). This file enables you to create and maintain the translation of company-specific information (such as code types and charge codes) into the languages your company instance supports.
- Default Coding (DC). This file enables you to create and maintain your default coding rules.
- Foreign Exchange (FX). This file enables you to maintain the foreign exchange rate table within Spend Dynamics.
- Human Resources (HR). This file enables you to upload employee-related data into Spend Dynamics.
- Phone (TEL). This file enables you to upload phone data into Spend Dynamics. It is useful if you have difficulty getting your telecommunications provider to send you full and regular data feeds of your phone program activity.
- Phone Book (PB). This file enables you to create and maintain your phone contacts.
- Transaction (TX). This file enables you to upload and manage transactional information from any source - not just account providers (account issuers and telecommunication companies), but also supplier invoices, photocopying billing data, or teleconference billing data.
- User Identification (UI). This file enables you to create usernames and passwords for the bulk creation of user accounts.
Note: Interface files can be created in ASCII text format (tab-delimited) or Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. They are uploaded into Spend Dynamics via the Vault and the Refresh Interfaces function.
