A rated amount field is used when an employee needs to calculate an amount that is based on a rate, eg. a mileage rate or per diem/daily allowance.
A rated amount field can be set up for a cash claim or requisition form so that all the employee will be required to do is enter the number of appropriate units to allow the rate calculation to be made.
