Edit/delete approval rule

To edit/delete an approval rule:

  1. From the main menu, select Administration > Instance Management > Module - Workflow Rules.

    The Module - Workflow Rules screen appears.

  2. From the workflow tree diagram, click the rule (one of the light purple boxes) you want to edit.

    The Edit New Rule window appears.

Note: Workflow rules are retained in the database if the rule is referenced by a transaction. They are still marked as deleted and will not be usable for future transactions. Retained rules are shown as [DELETED]_<Date deleted>_<Rule name> anywhere they are referenced. Any child rules and associated rule subjects are also deleted.

Approval rule translations

If multi-language support is enabled for your company and you have the correct administration right (Admin - Company Translations), you can configure your approval rule name in the languages your company instance supports. If a user then changes their language setting via their personal settings, the translated value for the approval rule name is used wherever the approval rule appears in the system.

  1. Either:

    The Approval Rule dialog box appears.

  2. Type translations for each of the supported languages.
  3. Click Save.
